How Advantage Multi® for Cats Works

Advantage Multi® for Cats is a convenient, monthly topical solution that, when applied directly to your cat’s skin:

  • Prevents heartworm disease
  • Kills adult fleas and treats flea infestations
  • Treats and controls roundworm and hookworm infestations
  • Treats and controls ear mite infestations

The two active ingredients in Advantage Multi® for Cats are imidacloprid and moxidectin.

The moxidectin in Advantage Multi® for Cats acts on the nervous system of heartworms and intestinal parasites (roundworms, hookworms) to cause paralysis and subsequent death.

Imidacloprid acts on the nervous system of the flea to cause paralysis and subsequent death.

Key Benefits:

Advantage Multi® for Cats is 100% effective in the prevention of heartworm disease, based on clinical trials.1

  • Broad spectrum coverage in one convenient topical monthly application.
  • One topical application, once a month treats and controls multiple parasites versus several products to achieve the same coverage.
  • You can save money by using a convenient, all-in-one product versus multiple products to target heartworm disease, flea and intestinal parasite infestations.2
  • Most veterinarians recommend topical parasiticides as the most convenient for cat owners.3
  • Safe and effective, when used topically as directed, for cats and kittens that are at least 9 weeks of age and that weigh at least 2 pounds.
