The I.V. Advantage

Legend^®, because of its unique purity, can be given intra-articularly or intravenously using the 2mL size or intravenously with 4mL and 20mL sizes. I.V. administration provides distinct advantages.

Safety. No need to invade the joint with a needle, risking bacterial entrance, physical trauma to joint tissues or intra-articular injection reactions. Convenience. No shaving or surgical preparation of the joint. Efficacy. In field studies, clinical improvement was judged to be good to excellent in 90% of cases treated with Legend® intravenously. Treats multiple joints. One I.V. injection results in treatment of all indicated joints.

Radiographic evaluation should be carried out in cases of acute lameness to ensure that the joint is free from serious fracture.

The safety of Legend^® Injectable Solution has not been evaluated in breeding stallions or in breeding, pregnant or lactating mares.
